Cúán Mac Conghail has worked in television for twenty years including 6 years  in the BBC as an editor. He has been directing and producing in Ireland since 1995. In 2006 he produced the full length feature film Studs from the drama by Paul Mercier which went on nationwide release.

His documentary American Tails was nominated for a Grierson award last year.  He also produced and edited On the Block, which has won many prestigious awards including the Prix Danube International Children and Youth Festival prize in the documentary programmes category and the Prix Jeunesse Heart Prize 2008.
