Nicci worked for sixteen years at the BBC where she produced the pre-school series, You and Me, three series of devised drama and the BBC’s first co-production with Children’s Television Workshop. After tunnelling to the independent sector, she spent five years with Pagoda Film and TV, where her credits included Out of the Ashes, a topical drama on the foot-and-mouth crisis, and Own Goal, an educational drama series with Leeds United Football Club.

She set up Squeeze Productions in 2002; the company’s latest production is a short film, Shotting, based on the winning script in a screenwriting competition for young people.

Nicci currently divides her time between production jobs, teaching at the London Film School and running The Akili Trust, a charity funding community libraries in East Africa.
