He set up his first business at 16, and now has a diverse business portfolio including IT, property, interior design and shopfitting, spectacle frames, optical lenses, teddy bears, licensed media distribution, chocolate fountains, ophthalmic services, and management.

Imran has won several business awards including Best Newcomer to Vision Express 2005, the North West Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2006, and Fusion Entrepreneur of the Year 2007.
