Debbie Macdonald joined Nickelodeon UK in 1994 as an Acquisitions Assistant. During her years with the network she has risen to the position of VP, Programming Director and is a shining example of Nickelodeon UK's much praised record of recognising and developing key industry talent. Macdonald's remit includes heading up acquisitions and original production for the family of Nickelodeon UK channels: Nickelodeon, NickToons, Nick Jr. and Nick Jr2.  She is Executive Producer for all series for Nickelodeon UK and also is spearheading the network's drive into piloting new shows, including the hugely popular live-action comedy series Nickelodeons Genie in the House. In addition to this, she is part of the Nickelodeon International Programming Group with joint responsibility for global deals.
